Arizona’s Christmas City is Live Streaming Saturday’s 66th Annual Courthouse Lighting

Prescott Christmas Lights, downtown Prescott, courthouse lights, whiskey row, arizonas christmas city

All four sides of the Yavapai County Courthouse, as well as all the trees around the square and the gazebo, light up every December for Christmas Time in Prescott – Arizona’s Christmas City.

In a city first, on Saturday December 5th the lighting of the Prescott Courthouse will be live streamed.

With the increase in Covid cases both statewide and local, “The decision was made in consultation with Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chairman Craig Brown, the Yavapai County Community Health Services Department, Prescott Mayor Greg Mengarelli, and the Prescott Police Department”-(Daily Courier) that it’s best to err on the side of caution and cancel the 38th Annual Christmas Parade and Courthouse Lighting Ceremony.  Though in person viewing and gathering may be cancelled the Courthouse will still be lit Saturday night and can be viewed “virtually”.  The City of Prescott has set up a Live Stream for the Lighting that can be viewed from the safety (and warmth) of your home on just about any internet capable device.

If you can’t see them, don’t worry.  The lights stay up and lit until Sunday January 17, 2021.

Music will be starting @ 5:30pm MST
The Ceremony starts @ 6:00pm MST which will be followed by the Courthouse Lighting
