Prescott Courthouse Square Christmas Lights Virtual Tour 2020

The lighting of the Courthouse Square took place just last weekend.  It was mostly a virtual event this year given the ongoing Covid concerns during the holiday season.  Each year the lighting draws thousands of people to Prescott for the lights.  But this year had to be a little different.

A few days after the official lighting ceremony we took a trip to downtown Prescott to do a few 360 images for those of you who missed out this year.  We brought 2 cameras along to show some different perspectives.  The first tour was shot with a Ricoh Theta Z1 360 camera.  You can take a tour through below.

The second set of images used a Canon 7D to create the tour images. You don’t need to have the latest 360 camera to capture interesting virtual tours. And often times a DSLR like the 7D can create higher quality images than the single purpose 360 cameras. In the second set of tour images you’ll see the courthouse before the sunset just to show that the lights are still visible before the sun sinks below the horizon.

Don’t forget, at any time you can take control of the presentation and “look around” the Courthouse square.  Simply click and drag around the images.  And you can also zoom in and out to check out more details if you like as well.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. We’ll be looking forward to 2021, and we’ll continue sharing favorite locations and recreation in the Greater Prescott Area. If you have a suggestion for a virtual tour please feel free to get in touch with us and share your suggestions!

  1. Nice presentation, How long will the lights be there? I’d like to see them live in early January, if possible.

  2. This is an amazing thing seeing the events virtual, especially if you work or just cant make it to see. Thank you! God Bless and Merry Christmas.
