Watson Lake Park – Views from Ground to Air

Watson Lake Park in Prescott, Arizona is a visual feast that combines rugged granite landscapes with the tranquility of wind swept waters. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast, an avid photographer, or simply seeking solace in nature, this park offers an unforgettable experience. The embedded video provides a glimpse into the park’s beauty, captured using state-of-the-art DJI technology.

Last week, we embarked on a fun filming adventure at Watson Lake Park and the Granite Dells. Equipped with our DJI Osmo Mobile 6, Mavic 2 Pro, and DJI Avata, we captured the breathtaking beauty of this natural wonderland from various perspectives. Join us as we take you on a journey through the stunning landscapes of Watson Lake.

Hiking the North Shore Trail with the Osmo Mobile 6: We began our hike by exploring the North Shore Trail. With the Osmo Mobile 6, we effortlessly captured smooth and stable footage while hiking along the trail. The park’s unique granite boulders, calm and reflective waters, and lush surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for our footage, allowing us to showcase the park’s natural wonders up close.

Filming from Above with the Mavic 2 Pro: As we continued our hike, we reached a vantage point atop the rocks, offering a magnificent view of Watson Lake, the dam, and the surrounding landscape. This is where the Mavic 2 Pro truly shone, enabling us to capture sweeping aerial shots and reveal the grandeur of the Granite Dells. The drone allows us to showcase the park’s vastness and its harmonious blend of rock formations and serene waters.

FPV Fun with the DJI Avata: To add an extra element to our fun filming experience, we unleashed the DJI Avata FPV drone in the cliffs and canyons. This high-performance drone provided an immersive and exhilarating perspective. Typically an FPV drone would be zipping about the canyons and rock formations at high speeds as that’s what they’re made for. However, we chose to do a slower, almost casual flight, getting low and up close video plus a bird’s-eye view of some of the rocks and boulders not everyone has had the chance to hike to.

So, sit back, relax, and let the video transport you to Watson Lake Park, where you’ll witness the harmony between granite boulders, shimmering waters, and the mostly unspoiled wilderness of Prescott, Arizona.
